Based on the electoral drafts proposed by the Superior Electoral Court for the 2026 elections and presented for public consultation, Transparência Brasil has drawn up suggestions for changes with the aim of preventing setbacks for the candidacies of women, blacks and indigenous people and guaranteeing social control over campaign spending.

The main loophole identified by TB in the rules for the 2026 election is the possibility of parties including legal and accounting services in the sum of campaign spending by women, blacks and indigenous people, unlike other candidates, which could inflate spending, making the electoral quotas ineffective.

In addition, the organization proposed changes to the rules on registration and accountability, such as simplifying the current format for declaring assets and immediately publishing campaign spending receipts online.
